Description
Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida (previously known as Pasteurella piscicida) is a gram-negative bacterium that causes disease in fish.
Pastereullosis is also known as pseudotubercullosis because it is characterized by the presence, in the chronic form of the disease, of creamy-white granulomatous nodules or whitish tubercules in several internal organs, composed of masses of bacterial cells, epithelial cells, and fibroblasts.
